PENDA WATOTO Foundation was originally founded in 2012, in response to the unique problems facing severely vulnerable children and their families and in recognition of the disparity between the numbers of such children and the availability of appropriate aid and support. At PWF, we encourage positive behavior as children see how rewarding it is to express kindness, appreciation, and love. We understand the effects of our actions and words on the well being of others and ourselves.

Our values are based on friendliness, love, approachability, personal contact, dedication and openness.
PENDA WATOTO provides a safe environment where children  can express themselves openly – as part of a family.PWF is not about numbers, but about quality, and the ‘family feel’ of being a small charity is a critical factor in our identity and culture.

We seek to create an inclusive environment in which everyone feels they are a stakeholder and part of the family. We try to build long-term relationships that have meaning.
Our emphasis is on independence, and we focus on abilities, not disabilities.
As a charity we value all the volunteers, donors and funders who make it possible to carry out the work with the children.
